Through seven generations, the North American Scherschel descendant line has tied the fabric of time together with its frequent gatherings. Nearly every year since 1958, households from across the continent gather at selected venues to reconnect and pay tribute to the lives of our forebears from both North America and Europe.
Scherschel descendants may be notified of the yearly gatherings by placing a request to Scherschel Legacy. As well, Scherschel Legacy welcomes the addition of all photos of Scherschel gatherings through the generations to honor and preserve the dynastic history. The following pictorial albums memorialize the history of our gatherings since the first photographically documented congregation of multiple descendant branches in Lagro, Indiana in 1890. Represented in the albums to date are three of the ten North American branches of Scherschel descendants.
As of the early 21st Century, the complete Scherschel global family consists of ten major branches of descendants in North America plus the originating branches in Germany, France, Luxembourg, Austria and Hungary. Since the mid-20th Century, the Scherschel lines also settled in the Commonwealth nations of Australia, England and New Zealand where they continue to grow.
