We wish to announce that Scherschel descendants worldwide have the opportunity and are invited to join the Teutonic Order based on our common ancestral lineage in Germany. Many might have heard this name or perhaps remember reading about it in history classes. Its inception dates back to 1190 A.D. and, unlike many of the Orders in history that did not survive into the Modern era, this one did and still operates today providing philanthropic work via support for hospital and medical care. Every Christian man and woman of Scherschel descent may join by contacting the administrators of the Order on their website at www.imperialteutonicorder.com
Several things make this organization interesting to become a member of. It is an organization that is combined of two main branches (1) a Roman Catholic branch headquartered in Vienna and (2) a Protestant branch headquartered at the Bailiwick of Utrecht in the Netherlands. Together, these two branches have worked in tandem for centuries to promote Christian values, moral living and support hospital care in the Holy Land. Of additional interest is the fact that it has functioned continuously for over 800 years nearly to the same genetically traceable time origin of the Scherschel surname found in 1140 A.D northern Germany. That’s a rare coincidence, but nevertheless fun to ponder.
For those descendants who are history buffs amongst us and merely interested in this group, its story and activities can be read about at the website link above. Or for those who have a serious interest in becoming a member, you can reach out to Scherschel Legacy to learn more about joining and supporting its charitable work. It is an organization that is global in the Modern age as well as fully patroned by both the Catholic and Protestant Churches. Although the Order itself might not directly reflect Scherschel lineage, it definitely had an impact on the lives of our ancestors throughout Europe going back generations. Joining this group is another way to maintain our ties to the past to preserve continuity as we head into future generations of Scherschel descendants. Some images of membership certification and symbols representing the order are attached here today.
