Many of us have often wondered how it might have looked to see the world through our ancestors’ eyes from a time that we’re not able to witness. Scherschel Legacy might not have a magical time machine to take us back to visit with our loved ones. Yet, with the help of a little technology, we might be able to see them in a new light. Legacy took some time to breathe new life into our loved ones who lived in the black & white or sepia tone periods of photography before color.
On the Memorabilia page here on the website, requests can be submitted by any descendant to have old photos restored or colorized. This will is a free service to all Scherschel descendants worldwide. Those of us Scherschel descendants living today might not have had the privilege of knowing most of these ancestors in person. But hopefully the revitalizations can help to bring each of them nearer and dearer to our hearts by adding a touch of personality to their daily lives from bygone eras. If only a photo could speak!
