Another Scherschel Reunion for the summer of 2024. This time it’s one of the western branches of Scherschel descendants. The descendants of Paul William Scherschel, Jr. and Ann Grepo-Scherschel met at Estes Park in the mountains of Colorado northwest of Denver. It was a phenomenal gathering keeping the spirit of Scherschel family history alive and well. Golf, horseback riding, fishing, archery, axe-throwing (yeah, it had to bring out the Viking blood in us), it was quite the weekend.
Plus, one of the cousins descended from the same line going back up one generation to Paul William Scherschel, Sr. and Rosalie Agnes Likavec-Scherschel was also there to join in on the fun. This reunion happens about every two years since 2016 and has become one of the newer gathering traditions across North America for the Scherschel extended family. Paul Jr. and Ann had five children whose families were present there. Here’s the descendant thru-line line for this reunion starting back in Germany down to the eldest siblings of the attendees at the July gathering:
